In accordance with Austrian federal and provincial constitutional law, NÖ Landes-Beteiligungsholding GmbH1) 2), St. Pölten, which is a subsidiary of the province of Lower Austria, is the majority shareholder of EVN AG with a stake of 51.0%.
The second largest shareholder is Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH2), Vienna, which holds a stake of 28.4% in EVN AG. Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH is 100% owned by the City of Vienna.
The remaining 20.6% account for the free float (incl. 0.9% treasury shares).

1) Disclosure under media law: The NÖ Holding GmbH is the sole owner of the NÖ Landes-Beteiligungsholding GmbH. The Province of Lower Austria solely owns the NÖ Holding GmbH.
2) On 23 September 2021, NÖ Landes-Beteiligungsholding GmbH („NLH“) and Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH, have entered into an agreement on the formation of a tax participation syndicate with respect to their shares in EVN AG. In principle, this agreement provides for a syndicated exercise of the voting rights of NLH and WSTW in the general meetings of EVN AG, but simply reflects the voting weight in a general meeting resulting from the respective shareholdings of NLH and WSTW according to applicable law and/or the articles of association (as a result, NLH continues to have a simple (but not a qualified) majority and WSTW continues to have a blocking minority).
